My husband said this was soo good he couldn't stop eating it. I also modified the recipe by cooking the pepper at the beginning with the onions and I used the small multi colored peppers since I don't care for green pepper. Thanks for such a wonderful and easy chili recipe!

If I make this again, I won't follow these instructions. Throwing green peppers in that late in the recipe makes for raw tasting, crunchy peppers no matter how long they cook. Better to sweat them out in the beginning with the onion.

I made this with some revisions. My chili turned out a bit thick so I added a cup of water. and a tablespoon of honey. I am not a huge green pepper fan so I used two jalapenos, I like spicy food and thought it was pretty mild in spice. With that I thought the taste was pretty good and I loved the black beans

This was fantastic. Healthy, simple, and absolutely tasty. I've been eating chili and topping it with crumbled colby jack, with a corn bread muffin on the side.

I also tossed in some cayenne, because I like a little bite in my chili. Will absolutely make this again!

commissionedsk - Oh man - corn would be a tasty addition!!! I might just have to try that next time; I love tweaking recipes over time!

OneTallCook - I'm so glad you enjoyed it! My husband requests this one as well...and he isn't even upset that it isn't beef chili! Haha!

peanutgallery6 - Taco seasoning - I like the improvisation!

This was absolutely delicious and easy as all get out!!
I didn't have chili powder (go figure), so I used about 1 1/2 TBSP of taco seasoning instead. Really, this was just delicious. Lovely served with cornbread muffins! Thanks so much for sharing.
