This was pretty tasty but fairly labor intensive. I only used 2.5 lbs of chicken because it's all I had - 4 lbs might've been a bit too much. I made a few substitutions to cut down on the spicy because no one in my family likes really hot stuff, so I just used chopped green chiles (from a can) in place of the jalepenos, and I omitted the hot sauce. The wing sauce I used is fairly spicy on its own. We also topped it with jack cheese (bleu would also be good but I forgot to get some.)

This was delish, although a little on the hot side for my wimpy young 'uns. The perfect soup to warm us up on a cold Midwest night. Thanks for a great recipe.

What is the wings sauce you use, is it more Frank's Red Hot, or I think Frank's makes a wing sauce ... This looks amazing, I can't wait to try it!

Oh my goodness, this sounds fantastic! How dare you post this in the middle of the summer!? I'm dying to make it, but can't stand the thought of heating up my place! I'll definitely give it a shot when it gets cooler!
