Loved the flavor, this might be one of my new favorite side dishes! Using a food processor for the potatoes was a disaster though. I used the grater attachment and it turned them into a sticky, gooey ball. Thankfully, I baked extra potatoes, and used a large size box grater for the rest, which was fine. I’ll definitely make this recipe again (it was delicious!) but with a regular box grater.

These were good, but next time I would try shredding the potatoes without cooking them first.

I love this recipe; I’ve already made it two times! It’s so much better than plain old mashed potatoes.

Sounds delicious! The only thing that could make this better is bacon, cause like cheese, bacon makes everything better:)

I loved the shallot flavor but it was a little strong for some. I am going to make it again and sub leeks for the shallots and add some bacon. Great Recipe!!

Very delicious! An easy dish to put together. I let my six year old help with all the shredding and mixing. I used less shallots than called for and the flavor was just right. Great dish.

Made these tonight and everyone loved them! My mom was over, but was going to eat dinner at a friend’s house and she couldn’t help but sneak some of these before she left. These will definitely be made again!

These where/still are (leftovers you know) wonderful. I was a little short on the cheese so I added some ricotta I needed to use and topped the casserole with some cheddar/jack I had in the fridge. Soooo good, thanks for the inspiration. Pat

425 is for baking the potatoes. Bake the casserole at 350.
