This is a fantastic recipe! I can cook just about anything, except green beans. Normally they have no flavor by the time I get through with them. However, tonight my husand said, “These are the best green beans I ever had.” I concur! I don’t have Ree’s cookbooks, but I have been wanting them for a while. I told my husband that they were The Pioneer Woman’s recipe and that if he wanted me to cook more food like this, he had better buy me the cookbook!

This was great. I used two 12 oz bags of frozen string beans and a whole can of the broth. Everyone loved it.

These were wonderful! I used the bacon grease and they tasted almost as good the old fashioned salt pork and cook 3 hours recipes. Thank you!!!

Great green beans! I just used a small amount of olive oil for this… didn’t have any bacon grease and I’m not supposed to eat it right now anyhow, and only had veggie broth, but they came out delicious! I will make this again.

This is definitely my go-to green bean recipe. This is also the reason I started saving bacon grease. I’ve made it with a other peppers, too (banana peppers, maybe some others).

If my husband eats green beans, you know they’re good. He seriously couldn’t get enough of them last night. He’s even asking when I’ll make them again. These are awesome.
