The only thing I suggest is to add more garlic and a bit more red pepper. A couple dashes didn’t give it enough flavor.

I use the same batter to deep fry asparagus, squash and other veggies. I have even made these while camping, although I don’t recommend deep frying anything over an open fire in the woods. =O
