Description

Black Beans and Rice, simply delicious and ready to eat in about 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • ¼ cups Onion, Diced
  • 1 cup White Rice
  • 1 can (14.5 Oz. Can) Chicken Broth
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Black Beans, Rinsed And Drained
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
  • ¼ cups Cilantro, Chopped

Preparation

In a large pot, add butter and onion over medium-high heat. Cook for about 2 minutes and add rice, stirring well. Add chicken broth and seasonings; stir and bring to a boil. Stir in the black beans and turn the heat down to simmer. Cover and cook for fifteen minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the cilantro.

My husband and I gobbled this up! Next time I will probably leave out the teaspoon of salt because it was a little too much for my taste. I loved the cumin in it. Delicious!
