I lived in Wisconsin for most my life. 10 years ago we moved to Florida and I miss the hot ham and rolls. I’ve tried every recipe but nothing tastes like piggly wiggly hot ham and rolls. Even this recipe didn’t taste like it. My husbands a truck driver and brings meats from Wisconsin home cause meat here just isn’t right.

I’m sorry to hear that you hated living here mnheather. Being born and raised here I love hot ham and rolls. I prefer a good crusty roll with either poppy or sesame seeds on it. I agree with bmd4me…Badger Baked Ham is the best in this area if you can get it. If not, ask for baked ham in your deli.

Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, I am here to affirm that there is NOTHING better than hot Badger Ham and fresh rolls from the Sentry bakery on a Sunday morning! YUMMY!!!!
