I made them just as the recipe suggests. My only touch was toasting the buns in garlic butter before loading them up and throwing them under the broiler.

They have just the right amount of spice and are not too sweet (a major issue I have with most recipes for sloppy joes). The only change I made was omitting the green peppers just because I often don’t have them on hand.
