I use crushed tortilla chips instead of taco shells (although they are about the same thing), and it is a great way to use chips that have gone stale. Sometimes I add in a layer of beans in the middle, particularly if I want to cut back on the quantity of meat. I like to make a couple of these at a time and freeze the extra ones. Just thaw and bake later. Top with salsa, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole, etc, just like a taco. We love this meal!
