I actually used beef spare ribs and slow cooked the ribs according to the packaging directions. 2 hours at 335 degrees, then added the sauce and cooked about 15 minutes longer. These ribs were so delicious! Best I've ever had/made!

These look amazing!! However, am I reading this right, only 40 minutes total cook time? Seems like they wouldn't be done and would be very chewy. I want to make these, but had to ask about the time just be on the safe side. Thanks much, and I love your recipes!

This was a sweet (and savory) success in my home. I did them for 4 hours in a 250* oven, to ensure falling of the bone tenderness. I also finished them on my grill for a few minutes to get some crispy, crunchy carmelization of sugars. I was worried about spicyness the red pepper (flakes? Thats what I used,) but even the 4 y.o. DD went back for seconds. DH was worried, at first, when I navigated away from his, truly wonderful, tried and ture ribs recipe. Which calls for braising and basting every 20 mins for 4 hours. Last night I needed some thing easy and it was! Sick it in the oven and forget it for 4 hours! Not that you could forget it, with all those yummy smells wafting in the air. All 4 crititcs were satisfied with this dish. DS 8, DD4, DH and myself. We are all hard to impress, each in our own right, but as a family unit, nearly impossible. I will use this recipe and cooking technique in the future and will have fun adapting the spice rub as well.

Such an easy recipe! Thanks to this, I faced my fear of cooking ribs. They are delicious! Although I did change it up and cooked the ribs on the grill and recently even more so by putting them in the oven at 200 for about 6 hours and then on to the grill to finish. That is definitely the way to go, the meat is so tender it comes clean off the bone and the flavor is amazing. My dad told me I can cook ribs for him anytime, haha! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!
