I was really surprised by how much I liked this. I used Frank's hot sauce b/c I didn't have Tabasco and it had some really nice heat. I'll definitely be making it again as it goes well with brown rice and veggies. I was also confused re: sweet red pepper or spicy pepper.

I was a little apprehensive about making this chicken because of the seemingly odd combination of ingredients. I only made it because I was desperate for something to cook, but I'm so glad I did! I only had drumsticks and thighs so that's what I used. I doubled the recipe but used about about 1 3/4 C of brown sugar instead of 2 cups. I used Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning because I had no Tabasco or other hot sauce and it was plenty spicy. I omitted the red pepper because I had no idea if it meant sweet pepper or hot pepper. I found that the chicken seared in about 6 minutes, but I did everything else as stated. It was soo delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I will definitely be making it again. Thank you so much Tracy!

My husband LOVES this recipe! He wants me to just make the sauce and can it so he can put it on everything else he loves!

As far as the red pepper, I think she means (and I used) red pepper seasoning. (Also known as Cayenne) I used the fine stuff, which is pretty intense, so only a shake or two and we had plenty of heat. If the sauce is too sweet for you, use a couple shakes of the cayenne and it will definitely balance it out.

Finally got to make this, but had lots of missing ingredients! I, too, like some others.. wasn't sure of what type of red pepper you meant, as well as the whole clove of garlic as well. However, this recipe proved fabulously adaptable and DELISH!

I substituted garam masala for the chili powder/cinnamon/cumin/pepper. I did still put a bit of salt in there, however. I also did not have any red pepper to finely mince, or tobasco sauce, so I used sirachi pepper sauce. I did use an equivalent of a whole head of garlic..was too much for family (not me, tho!).

Seriously yummy! Made this last night for supper and it was a hit. I did leave the chicken to sit for about 20 minutes and the sauce was so sticky and so yummy. I served it with Jasmine rice and the sauce went so well with it. This will definitely be a meal to make again!

I made this last evening for supper. I personally thought it was a little too sweet, but the hubs said it was fabulous and he wouldn't change a thing. I was also a little confused about the red pepper so I used a red bell pepper. Overall it was very simple and very very good. I'll certainly be making it again! Thanks for the recipe!
