Tasty and easy, but the cooking time is far too long. I've tried it twice (for 6 hours and 8 hours) and it turned out very dry both times. 4 hours on high should be plenty.

Fantastic! So easy and just like what I get at the store. It took 6 hours in my crockpot. I then took it out, placed it on a platter and covered it with foil to cool to a temperature where I could handle it to pick it apart. I'm going to use the chicken for a casserole recipe later in the week. Knowing that I have this option now, I don't think I will ever have to buy another from the store again!

This sounds ideal for making so many other dishes! I often stop at the store for a rotisserie chicken to throw together a casserole when I get home. To think the chicken would be ready for me at a fraction of the cost!! Be still my heart!
