I don’t know if I’m just used to more flavorful foods or something, but I found this bland and not all that great. I live in south Louisiana and am used to very flavorful foods, ie not spicy, just flavorful. I found it bland and not great. The meat was tender but I think I’ll doctor the recipe if I try it again.

I made this over the weekend and it was a perfect fall meal. Personally I would like it with a little less red wine in it but my husband loved it. We will be making this over and over again. It’s the prefect cold weather, simple recipe.
