Very good! Make sure you have the deli slice your meat and cheese thin as it will be easier to fold your puff pastry over the filling! Also, I didn't have any honey mustard so I made some by mixing a little mayo, a squirt of yellow mustard, a big squirt of honey and a splash of lemon juice! Also, a very kid friendly recipe--my daughter loved the powdered sugar on top and also loved dipping her sandwich in the raspberry preserves!

I just made these tonight and they were very good! My kids (age 2 and 4) even liked them! I bought prepackaged cheese, ham and turkey (deli was closed when I was shopping). I wish I had fresh deli meats and cheese. Next time I make these I will have the deli slice the meat and cheese thin as the thicker cuts made it difficult to fold the puff pastry around. This is my husband's favorite sandwich--he use to order it at Bennigan's and they are no longer around. I have tried several versions of the Monte Cristo (I don't have a deep fryer) and this is the closest I have come. He gave it two thumbs up and asked me make it again!! Thanks for a yummy recipe!
