Description

All of my kids (even the fish-haters) love these salmon patties. And they are SO easy to make!

They stay moist, they freeze beautifully, and they make a great Salmon Patty sandwich to pack in a lunch. So make plenty for leftovers!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 3/4 Oz. Size) Salmon
  • ¼ cups Onion, Minced Or Grated
  • ¼ cups Cornmeal
  • ¼ cups Flour
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Oil For Pan Frying.
  • _____
  • FOR DANA'S SECRET SAUCE:
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard, Or To Taste

Preparation

1. Drain salmon thoroughly. Flake it with a fork in a large bowl.
2. Add remaining ingredients (except oil) and mix well.
3. Form into patties.
4. Add oil to a frying pan and heat to medium-high heat.
5. Fry patties until golden brown, turning once during cooking.
6. Serve with Secret Sauce (recipe below).
7. Enjoy!!

Dana’s Secret Sauce

This sauce is embarrassingly simple to make. But it works great on everything from burgers, to these salmon patties!

Mix the mayo and mustard together well and serve as a dipping sauce or spread.

Just wondering at what point would you freeze these? Before or after you cook them?

Can you substitute leftover salmon?

Made these tonight. They were perfect. My 2 year old ate one and a half! Even my picky, picky 4 year old took more than the obligatory one bite. Thanks for sharing.

First time trying any kind of salmon patties and these were excellent. Everyone in my family loved them. Super easy!

This is the first time a salmon patty recipe has ever worked for me ever. In fact, I was thisclose to giving up on making anything burger shaped if it was made out of anything other than hamburger. My husband and I aren’t even very keen on salmon and we loved these. I’ll definitely be making them again. Thanks!

Super easy and very good. I made these using two 5 oz. packets of Chicken of the Sea Wild Caught Salmon. Also made the secret sauce and it made the perfect dip. These warmed great up as leftovers and tasted just as good.

This was really good. The whole family loved it and I will be making it again often. I made a creamy dill sauce instead of the “secret” sauce, but that’s just a preference of ours.

Yummy! I didn’t have cornmeal so I used corn flour and it was still delicious also subbed fresh garlic for the powder and added Cayenne pepper for a kick. Will make again with cornmeal.

I made these for myself for dinner tonight and they were sooo good!! Since it was just me, I halved the recipe and I also added a little bit of Old Bay. I also made the sauce and had them with some sliced tomato…perfect!! Thanks for an awesome recipe!
