Not even going to try this. Murphy’s did not season the fries or the meat and the fries dang sure are not baked. Murphy’s hot hamburger is all about the GRAVY.

It is a recipe similar to Murphy’s. I don’t think it should be posted as THE Murphy’s recipe, because it clearly isn’t. It’s a good dinner recipe, but definitely not the same gravy.

I grew up on Murphy’s hot hamburgers. Never had it with baked fries. They were fried as God and old man Murphy intended.

oh, this was fantastic… i didn’t make fries, but rather used all the odds and ends of frozen fry bags that i had. the gravy was not as seasoned as i usually make it, but the meat was so thoroughly seasoned that the contrast was perfect. i’m a huge gravy-on-fries fan, though, so this was right up our alley! we’ll remember this one!
