I buttered the rolls and broiled them and it made them not soggy. I added parsley, garlic pepper blend, and chili powder to the meat, which added more flavor. I’ve done them twice (I froze the meatballs, that worked great). I used hoagie buns and toasted them for a full-sized sandwich, and substituted mozzarella because my husband’s not a provolone lover. I would definitely use marinara sauce and not chunky spaghetti- they’re messy to eat as is!
