My kids do the “happy dance” whenever I make this for dinner. I usually make it with extra lean ground beef. I think the fact that the sauce covers them since they are small really helps them taste great.

I left out the onion because I didn’t have any, and I was out of oatmeal so I had to use bread crumbs, but next time I will try it as written. I also used ground turkey instead because my husband just got a high cholesterol reading.

Anyway, I know it sounds silly after making all those changes, but this recipe was really delicious, and I’ll definitely be making it again!
