Wonderful recipe! I found that hand-dusting the hotdogs with the corn starch, and then stirring them around in the batter worked the best to get it to stick. I used whole wheat flour and had enough to do 7 hotdogs, it probably made the batter a little thicker. My kids loved this, I might cut back on the cayenne and add honey next time. I like the spiciness, but my kiddos thought it was a little too hot (I used some homemade cayenne, tho, so it made have been more potent!) Thanks for the recipe, love that I can control the quality of the ingredients!

It was a lot of fun to make corn dogs at home, but I was really hoping the batter would be more dense and bread-like. Mine turned out light and fluffy- they were beautiful and they tasted good, but the texture was off.

Made these on the spur of the moment for dinner tonight. I used flour to coat the weenies (because I didn't have any cornstarch) and they worked perfectly! I made 1/2 sized dogs because I wasn't sure how they would fit in my skillet. They cooked beautifully and tasted fantastic!

These are really good, but boy were they a pain to make! The batter wouldn't stick to the hot dogs, so I had to pour it over each one. I'll try using flour next time instead of corn starch.

I had issues with the batter and the cornstarch. It seems the cornstarch prevented the batter from sticking to the hot dog so it became really messy to make. I did use a skinny glass for dunking too but I had to use my hands to get the batter on the dogs. It does make a lot of batter, enough to make 10 hot dogs.

I made these last night and they were great! Way more light and fluffy than regular corn dogs! I will leave out the Cayenne next time. My 4 year old said they were hot. I actually used the batter for a package of 10 hot dogs. Thanks for sharing!
