Google will kindly tell you 250g is a bit more than half a pound (about .55 lbs).

PS I'm sure most people already know this, but I didn't for a long time: Coriander is cilantro (ground coriander is made from its seeds). So when it calls for coriander as the garnish it means cilantro, not the ground up spice. And cilantro pretty much makes every curry sauce for me, so try it!

About how many ounces/lbs is 250 grams of meat? Also, how do you grate a tomato? It seems like you would just end up juicing it as you put it across the grater. I'll have to try it. This curry looks great, I'll have to try it soon!
