My husband is a grilling fanatic and we both love pizza, so I was anxious to try this recipe. I had bacon, but my husband wasn't in the mood and wanted sausage, but I had none. I found a sirloin steak in the freezer and thought steak and egg pizza sounded good. Hubby grilled the steak prior to grilling the pizza and I sliced it into bite sized pieces. It was wonderful! We loved that the crust was crispy on the bottom, but soft and chewy on top. My son has already asked when we can make it again. Thanks for the recipe!

Made my own quick pizza dough, put it on a huge cookie sheet, added cheese, cooked bacon, the eggs and some chives then convection baked at 425 for about 12 minutes. Perfect! We've been brainstorming ideas for other topping combinations. Pretty much any veggie meat combo you like in an omelet would be good. Thanks for the great idea!

My 10 year old son saw this recipe and is demanding I make it ASAP. I told him I haven't made it yet because I didn't want to clean up an "egg overboard" so we are devising a plan to "grill" it in the convection oven with a large cookie sheet on the rack below just in case.

Hi there, You can absolutely do that. Just make sure you don't place the dough over the direct flame, that way the dough won't burn. Then cover it, checking on it every few minutes until the yolks are cooked to your liking. If you're working with a small grill and there's no room for an indirect flame, I'd recommend frying the eggs in a pan, get it to your liking and then adding it to the grilled dough, add the cheese and bacon and cover just until the cheese is melted. Good luck!

When I saw your post for Breakfast Pizza I must admit that I was sceptical but my husband was thrilled. So I tried your Breakfast Pizza this morning and I must say that it was excellent. I used a premade pizza crust and I didn't have scallions. I choose to make it in the oven and it turned out great. 450 degrees for 10 minutes, probably could have done with 9 minutes. When making the pizza one of the eggs did go halfway overboard so I blocked the remaining eggs with the bacon. I also did half/half with mozarella/feta cheese. Love it with Feta, but then again, I am a big Feta fan. Great post.

Can this be modified at all for eggs that are fully cooked (I can't handle runny yolk, even just a little bit!)? Or would that overcook the dough?
