Fantastic! Of course I changed tiny details to accommodate what was already in my pantry... I used 2 boxes of Uncle Ben's long grain rice, so I replaced the soup packet with the seasoning packets that came in the rice. I seasoned the chops with
Cajun spice, garlic salt, and black pepper. And I chose to brown the chops in 2 tbsp of butter instead of the veggie oil. :). We all know butter does a body good! Mmm..mmm...mmm! My whole family loved it. I served it with steamed broccoli.

The rice part of this dish was very good, but my pork chops (about 1 inch thick; bone-in) came out way overdone (185 degrees!). That was disappointing. My kids still liked it, but I just ate the rice.

I'm glad you liked it! I've used all different kinds of pork chops, bone-in, boneless, and pork steak as well. They've all turned out great. Personally I prefer bone-in. It seems to have more flavor and be a little moister. This recipe has never turned out dry though which is one of my fav things about it.

Soooo yummy...we used pork steaks *they were on sale!* We also threw a bag of frozen peas into it. But, still incredibly good...now I've got some kind of crazy need to try all different varieties! Thanks for this, my six year old even loved it!
