Absolutely outstanding. I bought the family pack of hawaiian rolls which was qty 18. Because of this I increased the sauce ingredients by 1/3. I used 1/2 lb shaved honey ham and 1/2 lb shaved smoked turkey. On half the bread i used muenster cheese and the other half I used provolone cheese. After baking I lifted the foil onto a cutting board to cut the individual sandwiches and then carefully slid the foil back into the pan to keep the sandwiches warm. These were delicious and my guests raved about them and wanted the recipe. Next time I think I will try assembling the sandwiches in advance, without sauce, and wrapping tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate, then pour the sauce over just before baking and bake a few extra minutes if needed. I definitely felt the poppy seeds were a worthy investment and really added the right touch to the taste of the sandwiches.

I love this recipe, and I'd like to try it. However, I currently have my oven repaired. Is there any alternative that I can use aside from the Oven. How about heating it in a pan with melted butter?

Fantastic! I've made sliders with this, and larger sandwiches on Kaiser rolls. The sauce makes it, as does baking until the cheese melts. Like others, I think it's much better with the sauce on the inside rather than outside.

Great recipe! I was really worried the bread would get soggy but it didn't! It did this glazed, sugary coating on top and bottom. Thank you!

Really good. We used half the amount of butter, it probably made the other ingredients more concentrated and maybe changed how they came out a little- I’ve never had them the regular way- but I thought they still tasted great with a little less guilt.

I made six of these with the called for ham and cheese, and the other six with tofurky italian meatless deli slices and swiss veggie "cheese" slices for the vegetarians. It was the first time I was able to feed both meat eaters and vegetarians while still making one dish that was also easy on me! We all LOVED these! The vegetarian sliders were a particularly huge hit among the non-meat eaters, and they all raved. Great recipe!

These were delicious! Made them for dinner last night and I accidentally left them in the oven too long on the top rack, which resulted in them almost burning to a crisp! What it did was turn the topping into a sticky caramel like substance that made them soooo yummy! Is it bad that I want to make them again tonight?
