This recipe fell totally flat on flavor. A couple tablespoons of dijon mustard helped kick it up a bit, but there's still room for improvement. It's getting three mittens only because it was super easy to make.

This is a pretty good recipe. I had such high hopes for it because the picture looked amazing, the chicken marinade smelt amazing, my house smells amazing... but it was just missing something in the flavor. I hate to not give it 5 mittens because I really wanted it to taste super great, but it just didn't do it for me. :( However, my husband really enjoyed it! :) (which is why I am giving it 4 mittens) I would probably give it 3.

This was quite good! It was very simple and flavorful. The wine flavor really came through so use a good one! I agree with some of the other reviews-this does not need to be a crockpot dish, when we make it again, I will marinade it overnight and cook it in a skillet. I also added onions and broccoli, YUM!

Excellent recipe, thanks! I put it on the menu for the week, bought the ingredients, and then forgot to put it in the crockpot. Whoops. So, an hour before dinner, here's what I did: I sauteed the chicken and garlic in olive oil, added the parsley, basil, white wine, 1/4 cup of water, and chopped broccoli, and covered the pan for 8 minutes. Meanwhile, I prepared the orzo as suggested. Tossed the two mixtures together and there was supper! The only thing I would change next time is that I would use two heads of broccoli. I used one head this time and it wasn't enough veggies for my tastes. Wonderful meal, thank you!

Great recipe. I didn't put it in the crockpot though. I marinaded the chicken in the morning and then when I got home, I sauteed the chicken while the orzo cooked, this browned the chicken more that the crockpot would have, then I put the broccoli on top of the chicken, covered it with a lid for about 4 minutes, to steam it. A delicious dinner was ready in about 15 minutes.

The broccoli looks delish! I usually hide spinach in the orzo (I know I'm evil), but broccoli is a great idea (they despise it even more than spinach). I cannot wait to make this...
