There are similar recipes for this all over Pinterest and the one I've used calls for dried minced onion instead of onion powder and clearly, states how many ounces of cream cheese to use. I also add a dash of hot sauce (i.e. Frank's) to give it a little extra flavor. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking- nom nom nom. They are my daughter's favorite and are on the menu for this week.

I also made some modifications - I used neufchatel cheese - it tastes the same as cream cheese and has only 1/3 the fat, some chives, fresh onion (instead of the powder) and a little diced tomato. I also seasoned the chicken really well with Trader Joes every day seasoning and salt and pepper. It turned out great! I think adding the fresh ingredients and seasoning the chicken really well did the trick for me.

I made some modifications to the original recipe. It was good, not my absolute favorite... my husband really liked it, but my stepkids weren't huge fans (and they're not picky eaters at all).

I used reduced fat crescents, reduced fat cream cheese, parmesan (1/4 cup), 1 TBSP mayo, diced onion & garlic, and seasoned with parsley, garlic salt, pepper, onion powder, and thyme. You need a lot of seasoning to give the cream cheese any "zip". I brushed the tops with butter and sprinkled with more grated parmesan and some paprika.

They sure looked pretty and were easy to make (although next time I would just use leftover chicken on hand instead of cooking it specially for this meal).

Worth a try and might become an "occasional" add to our dinner rotation. We really want to try other fillings in crescent roll dough and see what we can come up with!

I modified these quite a bit – no butter, less cream cheese, added cream of chicken soup, fresh chopped onion, garlic, and broccoli…but I loved the idea and ran with it! My family raved about it. Thanks! Thinking about posting my version.

I found this recipe yesterday and made them for dinner last night. It was the perfect size recipe for my house of one! I had leftovers one of which I heated up for Lunch today and it was just as good. This recipe took me about five minutes to make because I used half a rotisserie chicken from the store. I can't wait to make them again and share with friends. I think they would also be good if you added vegetables.

These were really easy and very good. They taste very good cold. The only change I would make is not put so much filling in.
