I used freshed tomatoes instead of can and the flavor still came out really well. I used more salt than the 1 tsp, however, and I’m not usually one to add salt. I simmered the tomato-basil-spinach mixture a little longer because I used fresh tomatoes. My sister loved it!

This was awesome! Two thumbs up for sure! I was quite pleased to see how easily it went together along with the great taste. Followed the recipe to the letter except mistakenly opened a can of tomatoes with green peppers and onions. The extra flavors only made it better (although it would’ve been wonderful without the extras in the tomatoes). Also added a splash of white wine (I confess that I was having a glass while cooking). All in all, this will be a regular at our home. Thanks for sharing. Great recipe!

I did add some veggies I had on hand (asparagus, carrots and snap peas). I figure I might as well eat some veggies so I don’t feel guilty about the cream (not that I do but I will tell people I do…lol). The tomato & cream sauce really is awesome.
