I've made this twice now, and my kids LOVE it! Any time I make sonething and the kids ask for it again...it deserves 5 mits in my house! Both times I didn't have pre-cooked chicken, but I usually leave the crockpot going early in the afternoon until dinner, so I just covered the bottom with frozen chicken breast, seasoned it a bit with poultry seasoning and smothered the soup on top. I just took kitchen scissors and cut up the chicken right in the pot before adding the dumplings. I had the kids help roll the dumplings, so it made it fun for all! The second time I made it, I threw in a bunch of frozen veggies on top of the frozen chicken and we doubled the dumplings. It turned out great! :). Perfect comfort food for a stormy day!
