The cinnamon adds a nice flavor to the meat. I had enough mashed potatoes leftover from a previous meal, so I just heated them up, added the cheese, and spread them on top. Worked perfectly. My husband devoured half the casserole himself after spending the day doing construction work. He says this one goes on the favorites list. If you have a meat and potato loving family, this recipe is a winner.
