We loved this recipe!! The first time I made this recipe I followed it exactly, and it was awesome! I made it again tonight and because we are trying to cut back on sugar I substituted 1/2 c. honey for brown sugar, to me it tasted exactly the same!!!

I made this last night and the hubby and I loved it ! It was fast and easy and yet I can see serving it at dinner parties. I made Spanish rice and had some nice sourdough bread to go along with it. It will certainly will be a feature in my blog under the " All Y'all have to make this NOW !

I would love to make this with the full kick, but since my mom isn't fond of spicy, I toned it way down. I used half as much chili powder (ancho, because it's fairly mild) and about 3/4 tsp cumin in the rub. I wasn't sure what to use in place of the Tabasco, but when I opened the fridge I saw a bottle of sundried tomato vinaigrette and thought that would do the trick. The flavor was wonderful, and there was still just a little hum of heat on the tongue at the end. This one's a keeper!
