Wow! These turned out fantastic! I took countrygirlcooks' advice and used my KitchenAid mixer with the hook attachment. Super quick and easy! Used a bit extra flour for rolling the dough out and gave them a final hand roll to smooth out the bumps at the end. They browned up perfectly and tasted delicious! Already made 4 batches!

i tried these as regular bagels (no hot dogs). was my first time making bagels & they turned out YUMMY. they were kind of like a cross between the texture of bagels and soft pretzels. perfect for breakfast or for making sandwiches! will definitely make these again.

Made these last night. I used my KitchenAid with the dough hook to mix the dough so it was super easy that way. Also used cheese smoked sausage. The kids thought they were great and gobbled them up. Great recipe!

These were great! My kids loved them. I bought some low-fat sausage from the market and boiled them while I prepared the dough. They were more work than simply sticking the sausage in a hamburger bun, but they were yummy and crispy and perfect for little fingers to hold!
