The only change I would make is creaming the butter in with the sugar, then adding the egg yokes, and continuing with the recipe from there. I put the butter in as stated and ended up with a mess to clean up.
This brought to mind of a story about my Dad and Uncle having a butter fight in my Great Grandmother’s kitchen. Okay my mess wasn’t that bad but the humor of the situation helped.

BUT, sooo glad I did! My family ADORES breakfast for dinner, so I whipped these up last night. We smothered them with homemade cranberry butter (MissyDew’s recipe from this site) and holy crap were they good! They are a new family favourite. It’s too bad I didn’t find this recipe a couple weeks ago, they would have been a perfect addition to Christmas brunch. Good thing Christmas comes every year.
