I bet Paula Deen uses more butter and eggs! :)
A variation is also in a Christmas Gooseberry Patch cookbook and calls for an extra egg - makes it extra good and rich.

YES, this is a keeper. The only difference I have found through the years is that when I use a premium corn muffin mix that has corn kernels it is yummier.

This is the exact recipe I use when I make corn casserole! I can testify to its deliciousness as I'm constantly being asked to make it for my boyfriend and his roommate! If you make this, you will LOVE it!

I nearly grew up on this recipe and make it myself now, except that we do not drain the corn, we use 2 eggs and 1 stick of melted butter, and a 9x13 pan. I doubt that's enough difference in recipe to post my version. But I am completely addicted to it! I insist on having it for every holiday.

I made this casserole the other night to go with barbecue chicken and baked potatoes. It fit in well with the meal and was easy to make, but I'd make a few minor changes to recipe: I would probably cut the sour cream by a third and add a stick of butter. I might even toss in a few tablespoons of sugar b/c I like things sweet. It turned out well, though and the leftovers were great w/ some butter and a little salt.
