Just got a Ninja Pro--blender and food chopper. This thing will make a smoothie in a heartbeat. I love this recipe--I love smoothies, and this will make soft serve Ice cream, too--just frozen peaches or berries, and half and half with Splenda (or sugar)and vanilla. I'm going to try the frozen bananas, too--it'll help me keep bananas instead of tossing the too ripe ones away.

Delicious! I didn't have a banana and added ice to the blender instead of using the yogurt but still it was great and so easy. Will be making this very often. Thanks!

Yum! I throw in some mini-chocolate chips as well. Boosts the anti-oxidants, of course. They tend to clog the straw if you use one tho.

Hi Shari! Thanks for the suggestion of the frozen bananas--I tried it 2 nights ago. It definitely changed the consistency to something more like ice cream and less creamy/drinkable. My husband really liked it because it was super hot in our apartment, so thanks for cooling us down! =) We'll keep it in mind on these hot summer days . . .

I am in love with smoothies. I have a suggestion -use a frozen banana too. I remove the skin and put them in a zip lock baggie in the freezer. They seem to blend up better when frozen and will make your smoothie that much colder.
