		<description><![CDATA[Yes using distilled water will keep the ice cubes clear and the repeat boiling helps purify the water even more.  

You don&#039;t have to use distilled water but your ice cubes will be very cloudy and they will not be as pretty.

This is a great activity for children too.  And they add things like Fruit Loops cereal which actually turns out very pretty.  It&#039;s fun to see what the kids decide to use!]]></description>

I have done this a few times, with filtered water, and the cubes often come out cloudy.  Sometimes they don&#039;t, tho, so I can&#039;t account for the difference, as I don&#039;t do anything different.  Just guessing.]]></description>
