When I saw this recipe here, I was very intrigued, and so I checked out the info on Danielle's very interesting website. I hadn't ever heard of coconut kefir before, besides seeing milk kefir at the store. This is not my usual sort of thing at all, but it sounded interesting and healthy, so I decided to try it. I ordered the water kefir grains using the link on Danielle's website, and followed the instructions. I used a large carton of Zocir coconut water which was the perfect amount for my first batch and it was awesome! I used it in my daily chocolate protein smoothies and it was so good! If you've never done it before, it all seems a little odd, but it really wasn't hard at all. I'm now trying making kefir with just spring water using Danielle's recipe and it's great. I can already tell my kefir grains are growing! Thanks, Danielle!
