But someone borrowed my cupcake tins so I made it a small square cake instead. It was a little dry the next day though I’m not sure if that’s my fault (I forgot about the milk until after the first two additions of dry ingredients), a result of it being the next day, or if that’s just the recipe. But it was super yummy and moist the day of!

My friend loved the cake and frosting. The semi-sweet chocolate balanced perfectly. & Afterwards, the frosting dries and firms up and reminded me of fudge. SO GOOD. I’ll definitely be making these again!

They weren’t very sweet (DH said they were more savory than sweet), and I didn’t really care for the semi-sweet chocolate frosting.
