I commented earlier that I would try them with dried sweet cherries because fresh cherry season was over in my area. Well, what a huge success!!! They are so delicious. I folded the dried cherries into the batter instead of sprinkling them on top because I wasn't sure if they would sink into the batter, and I didn't want them to get overdone and crunchy, although now that I've made them, I don't think that would happen. I also think dried cranberries, blueberries, or sour cherries would also be fantastic. Thank you so much for the easy and awesome recipe!

These were a hit! Everyone at my Bible study was asking for the recipe and for me to make them again. I didn't know what to expect when I made them, so I was really pleased with how good they turned out. Our store was out of cherries and I made them with blueberries this time, so I'm looking forward to trying it with cherries too.

Uhhh....Yum! These sound excellent! I'm going to try them with sweet dried cherries, but I may incorporate them into the dough instead of placing them on top of the batter (I would be afraid they would dry out too much if I left them on top). I will let you know how they turn out.
