I made this a while back, and it was very tasty! Unfortunately, I think I ate three fourths of it, and the other members of my family only got one slice.

I made this Monday and it is wonderful. I did not have a vanilla bean because they are like $12 and up. Not happening but I did add a little extra vanilla and it came out great. Yum Yum this is a keeper. I especially liked the icing because it was real runny and covered the entire cake and landed all around the bottom like rum cake does. You can peel it off with the knife and add it to your cake as you eat it – OMG good.

This pound cake will make you want to throw a garden party, just so you can feature it as the dessert!!

Wonderful! Used limes from my tree. The lime flavor is subtle, but smooth. If one really loves limes, they could add a bit more lime juice (not too much, don’t want to mess with the batter’s consistency) and some more zest, but for us, it was just right! The cake absorbs the glaze, which was fine for us at home, but for plate presentation, if I had guests, I would wait until serving to pour glaze. Going to the store today for strawberries to serve over the slices for dessert tonight (if I don’t eat it all up today)! Thanks!

I am making this tonight!!! However my small town store doesn’t carry Vanilla Beans, so I am going to add a little more Vanilla in instead. I have a large group of teenage boys coming over for a football party my son is having, this may be to good to share…..
