I followed this recipe exactly and it turned out very runny. Not sure why? The flavour was very yummy but I will use less sugar next time.

Delicious and simple. The filling was excellent and when paired with my mother-in-law’s recipe, aptly titled “Perfect Pie Crust,” was a hit in our home. This one’s a keeper!

Delicious pie. I used 6 granny smith apples with this recipe and actually used half the filling for a second pie because it didn’t fit my 8 3/4″ tin (though the proportions were fine). For crust, I went with Jiffy pie crust mix (just add water – big enough for a 9″ pie top and bottom). Didn’t do the butter, cinnamon sugar dusting, or milk on top.

My boyfriend said that this (heated up with vanilla ice cream) was the best dessert he’s ever had. And he’s a tough customer!
