		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for the comments - perhaps a little clarifying is needed. The sweet potato needs to be roasted until very soft and then well mashed to a soft puree. You could use a sweet potato roasted in a 350 degree oven for about an hour, or until very soft, and then well mashed. Mashed canned sweet potatoes work very well for this. I think canned pumpkin would work well for this recipe also. Thanks so much for your comments!]]></description>

I  used baked smashed sweet potatoes but the batter didn’t even come together – I had to almost double the sweet potatoes and add applesauce before it began to look like any sort of brownie batter.
Am i missing something in the directions?]]></description>
