May drain yogurt next time and add some lemon or orange zest to the yogurt and the sponge cake. Nice and refreshing and less fattening than a traditional strawberry shortcake!

You can interchange gelatine leaves or sheets with granulated gelatine, although I’m not sure of the proportions off the top of my head.

I haven’t made the cake as yet, but will be doing so in the future because we LOVE strawberries. I have one question, though… a “loaf” of gelatin? I’ve been cooking for over 52 years, and that’s a new one for me. Please straighten out this ol’ girl!
