Mine were from a store that sells International food items, the brand is Wetzel. I know Amazon carries some wafer sheets, you could try those? I think they are the thick ones.

I see references to tort wafers (thick), but they appear to be for cakes. Other references to wafer sheets don’t mention the thickness of their product.
