I made this cake last night and it was delicious! The only thing I would do differently is use toothpicks to keep the layers from sliding. Novice mistake.

Made this last night. My strawberries were fairly tart to start with but it worked out well. I used a whole pint in the puree and it was too much. I didn’t let it drip down the sides of the cake (to use it all up) maybe I should have? Using the extra as pancake syrup. This is a semi-sweet cake, refreshing for a summer night. Tastes just like shortcakes! A great use of strawberries, thanks!

I made this cake, but if it isn’t eaten right away it gets soggy. Flavor is wonderful though.
