I was disappointed with these. A few points about the recipe: it would be nice if the amount of Whoppers was clarified. Is it two cups before or after they're crushed? Also, 1/4 c. of butter wasn't nearly enough for the filling--it made dry crumbs. I used extra butter and milk, as another commenter did, to get the consistency right. The cookies stuck to the baking sheets, even when following the cooling instructions to the letter. Use parchment or grease your pans.

The taste is interesting, but not good enough that I'll make them again. Oh, and they look nothing like the cookies in the picture. The cookie part has an oatmeal cookie-appearance (because of the Whopper bits), and the jello gives the filling more of a granulated sugar look.

I made these last night but it does not look like the ones on the picture. I did not put the rest of the Jello powder on the frosting bec. it is way too sweet. My kids did not really like it they prefer the good old chocolate chips cookies! Oh, well at least I tried.

They will last in the fridge for about a week. Outside of the US, especially European countries, they are called macaroons (related to coconut macaroons, but not the same). The original version is a little involved - this looks way simpler

So... do you have to refrigerate them for a week in order for them to be ready, or are you suggesting they will last a week in the fridge??

These cookies are so yummy and cute! I had a hard time getting the frosting to work, so I added some milk and it turned out fine. I also shaped the dough into balls instead of doing a drop cookie to make it a little rounder.
I think these would be great for a baby shower or a little girl's birthday party! Thanks for sharing!
