I tried this recipe and enjoyed it very much! I lived in New Zealand for three years, where this is also known as sticky date pudding. It was a hit with my Bible study group, and has already been requested by a friend as a birthday dessert in lieu of cake.

My only request is that the recipe for the toffee sauce be modified to include a recommended heat level, i.e. medium, or medium-high.

As a fun little tweak, I subbed maple flavoring for the coffee in the pudding itself: yum-o!

Definitely try this recipe!

Ok I was in Australia and one dessert I had was called sticky toffee pudding and it was one of the greatest desserts i have ever eaten. ever. I tried to make a rendition but it was not very good… i am definitely going to try this recipe!! thanks so much!!

My husband and I and friends were in Ireland last year. On a cold, rainy evening, we were asked by a pub owner if we would like to try some “Sticky Toffee Pudding”. It was AMAZING! After we returned home, my friend recreated this delicious delicacy to a tee! Thank you for sharing the recipe!
