My mom tends to use margarine and I have a feeling she substituted margarine into the recipe. I can find out for sure if you want, but I’d imagine it would be just fine.

They stay nice and soft for quite a long time. I add cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter to give it a little extra holiday taste. Deeeelicious!
