I made this last night and is really good! I love how quick it is, too. One batch I made is a little burned even though it only cooked 5 minutes. I will cook them for 4 minutes next time. Thanks for sharing!

Have made this recipe a handful of times, and everyone always goes nuts for it. Definitely something good to bake when you are needing to bring a dessert somewhere….that way you can enjoy it, but won’t get addicted to the “crack” and eat them all yourselves. Difficult to have self-control when these are around.

This stuff is like chocolate caramel crack, and that’s what we call it at work! Instead of using almonds, try some salty chopped peanuts. We also experimented and used broken pretzel sticks (for those who are allergic to nuts), use graham crackers instead of saltines with some dried banana and chopped up mini-marshmallows for a banana split-like or smores-type candy, other dried fruit like cherries or apricots, toasted coconut flakes, raisins, anything that goes great with chocolate.

I don’t think I’ve ever taken these to a function without several people asking for the recipe. It sounds like a really weird combination of items, but it is SO GOOD!

I love this easy, easy candy! We call it “Toffee Crack” for more than one reason; It’s crunchy and addictive! It can get sticky if it’s left uncover for long or it’s humid, so keep it air tight for longer storage..if it lasts that long!
