I needed bars for a church function and these sounded great and OH BOY am I glad because they ARE Good!!
Easy to make-I wasn't sure if I needed to grease the pan-I sprayed it lightly with PAM, and I didn't know how the marshmallows should look-I went with puffy and soft, but not brown-and they turned out great and, it's a little hard to "spread"the nut/krispy mixture-I more dolloped & smooshed :-), but there's plenty to cover the marshmallows! I chilled them over night and dumped the pan on the counter and had no problem cutting them with a big sharp knife. And yes, they're kind of tall so smaller than usual bars are definitely the way to go. Totally a keeper, sweet & salty, yum!

Made these for a picnic and they were well received. Note to divide the butter (my cake mix had too much!). I used the peanut butter chips and lightly salted nuts, which my hubby thought were not salty enough.

I'll definitely make these again. They truly do bring back memories of my small-town favorite Pearson's Salted Nut Roll. Yum!
