The basic pecan pie profile feels comforting and familiar, but the chocolate, whisky, and spices give it a special holiday flavor. I brought a test-run pie into the office, and my co-workers told me I could sell these pies in a bakery.
Note: I did not use the foil-lined pan under my pie plate, and it turned out fine. Know thy oven.
