This is a really tasty cake, very moist, very apple-y. Especially good because it uses homemade applesauce.

My 9 year old son’s 4th grade class was required to enter a baked good in the State Fair for a class project. His baking category was un-iced applesauce cakes. After searching many recipes, he chose this one because he wanted to make his own applesauce. He won 1st place! He is now the applesauce cake “expert” and we look forward to eating more of his award winning cake.
